FCE (First Certificate in English) is an exam for people who are able to use everyday written and spoken English at an upper-intermediate level. It is one of of the most popular exams in English as a foreign language. The certificate is widely recognised around the world for both business and study purposes.
The FCE exam can be taken only four times a year: in March, June, August and December. The exam takes place in authorised exam centres approved by University of Cambridge.
The exam consists of following parts:
- Use of English - written part
- Reading - written part
- Listening - written part
- Writing - written part
- Speaking - oral part
